Shared RV rental Horror Stories

Renting an RV is a fun way to see our great country. No doubt it’s different and requires a bit of a learning curve…but just about everybody says it’s worth it and they’d do it again…or that they’d buy an RV and rent it out themselves. That’s where the trouble begins.

Vacationing in an RV and running a business are two totally different things. Customer report back to us the nightmares they have renting from owners directly. Bald tires, wrecked interiors, no shows, rodent infestations, malfunctioning generators and appliances, etc. RVs require professional cleaning and regular maintenance. Private owners usually don’t have the time, money or patience to rent like a professional fleet.

Here are some example horror stories. Grab the popcorn!

Renting a shared RV should be a fun, rewarding experience…but sometimes it’s not. Renting from private owners leaves you dealing with a person, not a business. Rodents, maintenance problems, breakdowns, etc. can leave you helpless on your trip.

I’m sure we could go on and on, but you get the picture. Be careful renting an RV. Do a pre-trip inspection. Test everything before you leave. If something doesn’t work, buyer beware!
